By prosperity we mean that the people living there have access to amenities like health, clean drinking water, education, electricity and infrastructure. While the government, civil society and corporate are doing their bid to make our villages prosperous, there is still a long way to go. Ignorance, among villagers about what all is available for them and where; and among those who are working to bring them to modern living standards about who needs what is a critical issue. Yashogram criss-cross the villages (in Rajasthan to begin with) understanding their needs, meeting various stake holders in development and looking out for people who are working on their own to innovate and find solutions for better living of people at large.

Dana Pani Pahal is dedicated to Nature-Culture synergy. Dana-Pani converted “Scare crow” in to “Care Crow” and the symbol itself became a movement. Lead by young filmmaker Gaurav Mishra ,this initiative is working wonders. Vastra-Gatha, Dadi-Nani ki kahaniyan, Nanha Kisaan etc are the integral part of the venture.
दाना पानी पहल प्रकृति से जुड़ाव खुद से जुड़ाव है यही दाना पानी पहल की तासीर है, जन मानस में पर्यावरण को लेकर जन जागृति और संवेदनशील करने की यात्रा में ये भावना निरन्तर अग्रसर है । इस पहल में रूपक के रूप में खेतों में देखे जाने वाले “काग भगोड़े” को लिया है जिसे अंग्रेजी में “स्केयर क्रो” भी कहते हैं । ग्लोबल वार्मिंग और पर्यावरण की अन्य चुनौतियों को स्वीकार करते हुए उसने स्वस्थ पर्यावरण के निर्माण का बेड़ा उठाया है। उसका ह्रदय परिवर्तन हो गया है , वो अब “काग बुलउआ” या केयर क्रो” बन गया है । इंसान के सकारात्मक पक्ष को उभारते हुए दाना-पानी की यात्रा “स्केयर क्रो” से “केयर क्रो” बनाने की ओर है। दाना-पानी पहल का मूल सिद्धान्त “प्रकृति-संस्कृति-सहक्रिया” (Nature cultural synergy) है। हमारा प्रयास है कि हम भारतीय संस्कृति की चेतना में मौजूद सहचर की भावना से आज की युवा पीढ़ी को जोडें। आज की भागती दौड़ती ज़िन्दगी में वो कुछ समय पर्यावरण और आस पास के जीव को भी दें और उनके प्रति सजग एवं संवेदनशील रहें। यह उनकी दिनचर्या का हिस्सा भी बने ताकि आने वाले समय में उनको स्वस्थ पर्यावरण मिले ।
